The HUB Board of Directors has decided to close the facility until May 4th in an attempt to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus. They are making every effort possible to ensure the continued health of our seniors, while still trying to attend to our needs. Meals will continue to be provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but on a take out basis only. It is still necessary to call (675-1479) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 10:00 a.m. Monday to request a meal for either day. For the period of the closure, this will apply to everyone; the “frequent flyer” list will not be in force.
The meals will be brought to you in you car as you pass through the portico in front of the building between 11:45 & 12:30, and payment will be accepted there as well.
No other activities or rentals will take place during this time in an effort to keep the building as sanitized as is possible.
This was a most difficult decision to make, but was based on the best current information from the Washington State Department of Health and the North East Tri-County Health District. We are saddened at the prospect of missing out on our camaraderie for the next month, but keeping everyone well is a greater obligation which the Board takes very seriously. Soon this will all be past us, and we’ll be able to gather together again to share our stories!
